When installing blown cellulose insulation in attic areas, the professionals at
AA Insulation, install rafter vents wherever they are required, at no extra cost.

  •  Proper ventilation must be applied in all attic areas to prevent mould & rot.
  •  Roof vents can also be installed at your request.
  •  Rafter vents allow cold air to ventilate in winter, eliminating ice build-up & damage
to roof and eaves.  In summer they equalize attic & outside air temperature to
minimize heat & moisture build-up
  •  Makes heating & cooling more efficient
  •  Without proper ventilation, moist hot air can damage roof shingles, cause ice
build-up, promote the growth of mould, & damage your insulation and even your
roof trusses.

ARTICLE ON INSULATION FROM THE TORONTO SUN

AUGUST 10 & 12, 2007

Insulation: Know your R-value  (by Jack Kazmierski)

EXCERPTS FROM ARTICLE:

" But all the insulation in the world won't help if your attic is not properly ventilated... The purpose of those vents is to provide
the attic with a constant supply of fresh air.  That's critical, because if there's any warm moist air getting into your attic
through the vapour barrier it will condense.  If the ventilation isn't sufficient, the condensed moisture will stay trapped and
you'll get moisture and/or mould building up in the attic area."
